Bike 2005

Bike 2005 this time Mountainbiking!

Here you can find some nice pictures, reports and maps of my latest bike event, the yearly bike tour (see pictures of the Bike 2002 tour and Bike 2004 tour here) with my brother and friends (the ‘gemeine Karpatenbär’ this time also was present)

This year, due to the nature of mountainbiking, the tours have taken place around the area of the “Vinschgau” in the north of Italy.

In the picture above, you can see the highest place of our tours, the Eisjöchl (2908m), one of the highest mountain pass you can reach with the mountain bike!

During the seven days, we rode not less than:

  • seven mountainbike tours,
  • approximately 215 km and
  • the altimeter showed a sum of 7.700 m.

See some more details behind the quicklinks to the right - have fun!

I used the KOMPASS Digital Map of the Vinschgau for planing and documenting the tours. We rode tours from the Booklet Moutain Bike Vinschgau from Robert Erb which should be avail locally and the MountainBikeGuide from Esterbauer.
